The 11th Annual Terry Hagen Memorial Golf Tournament was the biggest and best tournament that has been held because of the support and commitment of all of our participants! We don’t have our official tally yet, but …….around $13,000!!!!!!!!!!! was raised.

Saturday, August 13th, was almost an ideal day for golfing with a partially cloudy day in the low 80’s and a slight breeze. There was a great turn-out of 88 golfers who enjoyed beautiful Sycamore Country Club. The meal prepared by Smoke My Meat BBQ, Fran Lossee & Mike Mangini, Frank Gigliotti and his sidekick Don, Chris Hagen & Maria Gigliotti was fabulous as well as the hospitality provided by Bernie Carrk and her staff who catered to our every need.

The golfers opened their hearts and were “over-the-top” with their generosity in donating to The Lustgarten Foundation For Pancreatic Cancer Research. We appreciate everything we collected for our cause. The “Greenies” winner, Shawn Morrow, donated his winnings of $280 back for Lustgarten. The “50/50” Raffle winner, Bud Floor, gave his winnings of $430 back to Lustgarten as well. Skins winners, Skippy, Frank, Bob & Robbie; Tony, Joe, Erik & Travis; Shawn, Tom, AJ & Chris, gave their skins of $80 back too!

The entire Terry Hagen family is humbled and blessed to have such wonderful friends help in our cause to make pancreatic cancer a disease that can be cured. God bless each and every one of you!!!

Terry Hagen was born on November 15, 1944 in Wisconsin. He joined the U.S. Army and served one tour of duty in Viet Nam and earned the Bronze Star for valor under fire during combat. He was married and had two sons.  He loved his family and hunting, fishing, camping, being outdoors, riding snowmobiles and golfing. He died on August 27, 1999, at the age of 54 after a one-year struggle with pancreatic cancer. 

The Terry Hagen Memorial Golf Tournament was started by his widow, two sons and extended family as a way for his family and friends to get together. This memorial tournament turned into a fund-raising event the second year it was held and all proceeds have been donated to researching a cure for pancreatic cancer. 

Our goal for the Terry Hagen Memorial Tournament is to continue to grow and to donate all funds to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Visit the Lustgarten Foundation here.
